What You’ll Do
As a Resource Planning Analyst at Ampirical, you’ll help ensure the right people are assigned to the right projects at the right time. You’ll support workforce forecasting, resource planning, and operational decision-making across departments - helping Ampirical deliver projects efficiently while planning for future growth.
This role is ideal for someone early in their career who wants exposure to project controls, operations strategy, and workforce planning in the EPC/utility industry.
Support the development and maintenance of company-wide resource forecasts and staffing plans
Collaborate with project managers and department leaders to understand upcoming work and staffing needs
Monitor resource allocation across projects and recommend adjustments to maintain schedule and budget alignment
Assist in forecasting staffing needs for upcoming project awards and growth initiatives
Help identify resource conflicts and support solutions to balance workloads across teams
Contribute to workforce planning insights used for hiring decisions and operational strategy
Maintain dashboards, reports, and tracking tools related to staffing, utilization, and forecasts
Support continuous improvement of resource planning tools, templates, and processes
Participate in planning meetings to provide visibility into staffing availability and risks
What You Bring
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, business, finance, or related field
Experience in large-scale engineering and construction project coordination, scheduling, planning, analytics, or operations support
Internship or exposure to project controls, workforce planning, or EPC environments is a plus
Technical Skills
Strong Excel skills and comfort working with data, reports, and dashboards
Familiarity with project controls tools (Primavera P6, MS Project, ERP systems, or similar) a plus
Analytical mindset with ability to connect data to operational decisions
Communication & Collaboration
Able to work cross-functionally with project teams, operations leaders, HR, and business development
Comfortable communicating staffing insights and risks to stakeholders
Detail-oriented with strong organization and prioritization skills
