What You’ll Do
As an Estimating Scheduler at Ampirical, you’ll play a critical role in supporting project pursuits by developing defensible, resource-loaded schedules during the estimating and proposal phases. Your work will directly influence bid strategy, cost modeling, and project execution planning - helping position Ampirical to win and deliver successful projects.
Develop conceptual and resource-loaded schedules to support estimating, proposals, and project pursuits
Collaborate with estimating, engineering, and operations teams to define sequencing, durations, and execution assumptions
Build schedule scenarios to evaluate risk, constructability, and schedule feasibility during the bid phase
Support cost and resource modeling by aligning schedule logic with estimating assumptions
Translate proposal schedules into execution baselines when projects are awarded
Maintain scheduling standards, templates, and best practices for preconstruction planning
Capture lessons learned from awarded and lost pursuits to strengthen future proposal strategies
What You Bring
Education & Experience
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, project controls, or related field preferred
5+ years of experience building schedules for EPC, utility, or infrastructure projects
Experience supporting estimating, preconstruction, or proposal development strongly preferred
Technical Skills
Advanced proficiency in Primavera P6 and Microsoft Excel
Experience developing conceptual schedules with limited information
Primavera certification or PMI-SP a plus
Industry Knowledge
Utility or power delivery project experience strongly preferred
Familiarity with EPC workflows and estimating processes
Communication
Able to translate technical scheduling logic into assumptions estimators, engineers, and leadership can use for decision-making
Comfortable collaborating across estimating, operations, and business development teams
